About Us...

Fox & Chave was founded in 1990 to supply silk ties to the British gift market. In 2002, the business was acquired by Jemima Sabini Haddock. Jemima previously managed and owned Alan Hutchison Ltd, a fine-art gift stationery business and her experience encouraged her to develop the design resources of Fox & Chave.

Since the acquisition, significant investment has been made in design, creating an exciting and eclectic collection, with an active licensing programme, working with talented artists and world-class heritage institutions. Designs take inspiration from fine art, decorative arts, historical periods and events over the centuries and from all over the world, from antiquity to the present day.

Product Development has led to a fabulous silk scarf and stole collection and other silk accessories, for men and women. In 2013, we acquired the Sonia Spencer England cufflink business, which as of 2017 is available from our new sister website FoxyCuffs.com

The Fox & Chave team includes Kate and Trevor Baker (Customer Services and Production Managers, respectively) who have both worked with Jemima since Alan Hutchison Publishing was acquired by Hunkydory in 1996. They are joined by Benita Plax and Vivienne Plax, who have also been in the gift industry for many years, to work on Sales and Marketing. Michelle Hamilton Pike is our inspirational and ever-patient designer!

Our products are sold through major UK museums and over 100 museums in the USA. We also work with castles, palaces, stately homes, national heritage sites and institutions, major libraries, cathedrals, literary museums, theatres and music venues, racecourses, country clothing stores and high street gift, menswear and accessory shops. Our bespoke service supplies sports clubs, institutions, schools, universities and the military.

Sales of all our licensed items benefit the museums and artists.
