FOR HER
MATISSE
BLUE DANCE
SILK SCARF
Now, Henri Matisse—there was a man who knew how to wield a pair of scissors. In his later years, he developed a new technique: cutting out brightly painted paper shapes and arranging them into bold, energetic compositions.
His Jazz series, created using this method, is one of his most striking works. Our Dancer silk is inspired by Icarus (1947), one of the most recognisable pieces from the series. That red dot on Icarus’s chest—heart or bullet wound? Perhaps both? Either way, it’s an arresting piece of design, soon available as a sumptuous habotai silk, created in collaboration with National Galleries of Scotland.

FOR HIM
ALICE RABBIT
SILK TIE
The Bodleian Library is a longtime partner of Fox & Chave, so proceeds from designs made in association with them help to keep its grand halls filled with the kind of dusty old books that smell like wisdom.
Last year, Alice-inspired scarf designs were added to the collection, and naturally, so as not to leave gentlemen feeling left out, you will soon be able to follow The White Rabbit. Though in keeping with his character, he may prove somewhat elusive. Keep your eyes peeled for this release.

FOR HER
MATISSE
EGYPTIAN CURTAIN
SILK SCARF
Another Matisse-inspired silk, features elements from Interior with Egyptian Curtain (1948). Bold, full of rich colour, and showcasing Matisse’s love of pattern and texture, it makes for a rather stunning silk scarf.
Printed on Habotai silk—a lightweight, breezy fabric with a beautifully soft finish. This painting is perhaps considered his final major work, where he once again explored his favourite theme—the window. The vibrant palm beyond it bursts like a firework, while a still life of fruit rests below.

FOR HIM
MONARCH OF THE GLEN SILK TIE
Sir Edwin Landseer’s Monarch of the Glen is a painting that has become almost as legendary as the stag itself. Towering antlers, noble stance, a certain air of ‘yes, I do own this particular Highland’—it’s a masterpiece of 19th-century wildlife art.
We’ve captured the spirit of it in a woven silk tie which, should you feel your outfit requires a little extra coordination, pairs rather handsomely with the matching cufflinks.

FOR HIM
MORRIS WILD TULIP SILK TIE
Ah, William Morris—if ever there was a chap who knew his way around a floral motif, it was him. Morris was a master of intricate, nature-inspired patterns, and tulips made regular appearances in his work, alongside swirling peonies and winding stems.
This particular design is as classic as they come, with its wild tulips forming a delicate mid-ground and larger peonies elegantly weaving through the scene. His daughter, May Morris, once remarked that this pattern was ‘all Kelmscott to me’—Kelmscott Manor being the Morris family’s rather charming country retreat in Oxfordshire.
Available in its original pale blue with soft pinks and greens, making it a rather dashing choice for weddings, or, frankly, any day.
