At Fox & Chave, we’re proud supporters of the arts and know how important art and creativity are for mental wellbeing.
Now more than ever, we’re acutely aware of the adverse effects the coronavirus pandemic has had on so many people’s mental health, so until the end of May (Mental Health Awareness Month) we are donating 25% of all our retail sales to Teapot Trust.
Teapot Trust is a charitable organisation at the forefront of transformative mental health support, providing art and creative therapy for children and young people living with chronic conditions.
The Trust aims to enhance the lives of children, young people and their families across the UK, through creative wellbeing interventions which help them to explore and express their feelings, build resilience and develop positive coping strategies.
This work also extends to educating the wider public on the benefits and impact of art therapy, which is often effective where traditional talking therapies have failed.
Celebrating 10 successful years of Teapot Trust
2020-21 is a landmark year for Teapot Trust, marking their 10th anniversary. Over the last decade, this remarkable charity has achieved so much, enriching the lives of over 12,000 children and young people.
Teapot Trust was set up in 2010 by Laura and John Young whose daughter, Verity, spent much of her short life in hospital. Whilst bravely managing the effects of her illness and treatment, art became an essential coping strategy for the whole family, leading John and Laura to see a way they could help other children and families who were struggling.
The founders explain that the name ‘Teapot’ holds a lovely significance and reminder of Verity. Becoming a symbol of support, friendship and respite, the comforting ritual of making a pot of tea encouraged Verity to increase her fluid intake, which was important due to the medication she was taking.
We hope you will join us in supporting Teapot Trust as we donate 25% of every Fox & Chave retail sale to this wonderful cause.
