A signature Fox & Chave silk pocket square after the key pattern from the work Hope II by Gustav Klimt (1862-1918).

The painting is a haunting meditation on maternity, mortality, and transcendence. Unlike the celebratory sensuality of his earlier Hope I, this painting veils the pregnant figure in patterned robes, her face bowed in solemn introspection. Surrounding her are ghostly, mask-like heads suggestive of suffering, death, or ancestral memory transforming pregnancy into a metaphysical event rather than a biological one.

Klimt fuses Byzantine iconography with Symbolist unease, presenting motherhood not as sentimental, but as cosmic, fragile, and spiritually charged.
