White cotton boxer shorts with a repeat pattern of various Jack Russel Terriers from the pen of the British cartoonist and illustrator Bryn Parry (1956-2023).

Beyond his humorous and anthropomorphised works, Bryn Parry also produced careful, non-satirical studies of animals that reveal his deep observational skill.

In these pieces, he focuses on anatomy, posture and natural behaviour, capturing birds, mammals and farm animals with a quiet realism. His line work is precise, and subtle washes of colour convey texture and form, giving feathers, fur and skin a tactile presence.

These studies are often composed against simple or neutral backgrounds, allowing the subject’s structure and movement to take centre stage. By removing the narrative or comedic element, Parry highlights the intrinsic character and elegance of each animal, blending scientific attentiveness with artistic sensitivity.
