This Fox & Chave silk tie has a classic horse racing motif of elegant equine silhouettes in full gallop, with dark blue jockeys and riders over a pale blue ground.
Although the racing of horses has existed across various cultures perhaps since antiquity, thoroughbred horse racing has been fostered by British royalty and aristocrats, earning it the moniker "Sport of Kings".
In England, one of the most prestigious series of races is referred to as The Triple Crown which consists of The 2000 Guineas, Epsom Derby, and St. Leger, all for three year olds. So challenging is this achievement that the last successful winner of the Triple Crown was Nijinksy in 1970.
