DESIGNER'S NOTES
A blue Fox & Chave silk tie with a simple floral pattern of pomegranates in a style reminiscent of the Art Deco period.
In Art Deco, the pomegranate symbolised fertility and exoticism, often stylised into geometric or fountain-like forms. In repeat patterns, it was frequently depicted as a symmetrical, bursting fruit with exposed seeds, emphasizing rhythmic structure.
Designers used these motifs in wallpapers and textiles, blending organic curves with the movement's signature linear precision. These patterns often utilized pochoir printing or metallic inks to create opulent, shimmering effects typical of the 1920s aesthetic.
