DESIGNER'S NOTES
A unique Fox & Chave silk tie featuring a repeat design after an element from the work Man Lying on a Wall (1957) by the English Painter L.S. Lowry (1887- 1976).
The painting features a man lying on a low brick wall, seemingly relaxed or in a state of repose. His posture is informal, smoking a cigarette, with legs stretched out along the wall. The man's attire is however somewhat formal, with dark jacket, trousers, a collared shirt, tie and a red flower in his buttonhole.
This and the presence of an umbrella propped up against the wall and what appears to be a briefcase with initials on the side, perhaps indicate the man to be more professional than the typical working class figures usually depicted in Lowry's scenes of daily life in the industrial towns of Northern England.

STYLING
A Fox & Chave silk tie looks best tied in a classic Windsor or half-Windsor knot and worn with a collar style of your choosing. Cutaway or spread collars offer the greatest opportunity to display the detail of your unique silk tie design.
