DESIGNER'S NOTES
A purple, lilac and green Fox & Chave silk habotai scarf featuring an element of one of more than two hundred paintings in the Waterlilies series by Claude Monet (1840-1926). This one was painted between 1916 and 1919.
Monet began the series of paintings of Waterlilies, or Nympheas, in 1897 and continued to add to it for the best part of the next 30 years, right up until his death.
Some of the early images feature the famous Japanese style bridge that spanned a part of the pond in his garden at Giverny, but the majority focus only on the play of changing light conditions upon the water and the floating flora, giving rise to the wide variety of colours that can be seen across the series.

STYLING
A Fox & Chave habotai silk scarf can be worn with the classic knot style or a pussycat bow. You can even create a shawl effect by knotting two scarves together behind your neck and allowing them to drape over your shoulders. More scarf styling ideas are available in this wonderful How to Tie a Scarf book.
