A Fox & Chave silk poshmina™ featuring the design Ispahan created by William Morris (1834-1896).

Designed by Morris in 1888, the Ispahan printed cotton textile showcases the Arts and Crafts movement's fascination with Islamic design. Named after the historic Persian city renowned for its rich artistic heritage, the pattern features large-scale, stylised peonies and scrolling foliage.

Morris masterfully adapts traditional Persian carpet motifs into a rhythmic, mirrored symmetry. By utilising complex block-printing techniques and natural vegetable dyes, Ispahan achieves a deep, layered texture that synthesises Eastern decorative tradition with British design.
