Nattier Rose Silk Square

DESIGNER'S NOTES

A silk square that features a detail from from the painting Manon Balletti by the French rococo painter Jean-Marc Nattier (1685-1766), who was one of the leading portraitists during the reign of Louis VX. The painting from which this scarf design is derived depicts Maria Maddalena Balletti, known as Manon, the daughter of actors in the Comédie Italienne, and also a lover of the infamous Venetian adventurer Giacomo Casanova.

The pink and blue scarf is crafted from from the finest silk twill and is finished with traditional, artisan hand rolled hems.
