A fascinating red variation of a Fox & Chave silk habotai scarf with a floral design in a traditional Suzani style from Central Asia.

Suzanis were usually made as a dowry in countries like Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan and presented to the groom by the bride on the wedding day.

Tajik culture, which has a deep history of Suzani, integrates Persian elements into its patterns and motifs, emphasising floral designs and natural themes. In both Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, Suzani is more than decoration—it's a cultural narrative, reflecting everyday life, spirituality, and regional identity. These cultures have preserved and adapted Suzani-making techniques over centuries, maintaining its significance as both a practical and artistic expression of their heritage.
