This vital and bold Fox & Chave silk tie features a photographic print of the iridescent blue and green plumage of the male Peafowl, more commonly known as the Peacock, in this case Pavo cristatus, or Indian Peacock.

The most notable and dramatic aspect of the peacock is its train consisting not of tail quill feathers as commonly understood, but highly elongated upper tail coverts. The feathers are marked with eyespots, most visible when a peacock fans his tail.
