A distinct Fox & Chave silk habotai scarf in black and gold with art deco elements reminiscent of the architectural details on the Chrysler Building in New York City.
The building was completed in 1930 and represents an iconic example of Art Deco architecture. Designed by William Van Alen, its decorative style features sleek lines, geometric patterns, and metal detailing. The building is adorned with automobile-inspired motifs, including hubcaps and eagle gargoyles. Its crown, made of stainless steel and radiating triangular windows, epitomises the Art Deco emphasis on futuristic and luxurious design.
Originally commissioned by Walter Chrysler for his automotive company’s headquarters, the Chrysler Building was briefly the world’s tallest building. Its striking design remains a symbol of the architectural innovation of the early 20th century.
