DESIGNER'S NOTES

This silver-plated bangle takes inspiration from the intricate mosaic traditions of North African Islamic art. Its design echoes the meditative geometry of zellige and girih tilework, where circular and tessellated forms embody balance, unity, and infinity.

In these traditions, ornament serves both as decoration and spiritual reflection, transforming mathematical rhythm into sacred beauty. Contemporary artisans in Morocco reinterpret such motifs through new materials and digital design, blending ancestral craftsmanship with modern sensibilities.

The bangle image is a few centimetres in diameter on an open ring. Wear with jewellery of similar scale, such as a simple silver pendant or brooch.
