DESIGNER'S NOTES
This silver-plated bangle incorporates a motif inspired by a watercolour study by the Flemish Baroque artist Jan van Kessel (1626–1679).
Renowned for his jewel-like precision, van Kessel transformed the minute details of insects, flowers, and plants into poetic reflections on nature’s order. His compositions balanced scientific observation with artistic grace, capturing the fascination of a century enthralled by discovery and display.
Each brushstroke reveals both curiosity and reverence, turning natural specimens into emblems of beauty and knowledge. The bangle reimagines his delicate study in metal, preserving van Kessel’s spirit of wonder while translating his meticulous eye into a contemporary ornament of enduring refinement.
