Victorian lace is distinguished by its intricate patterns and formal vocabulary, combining naturalistic motifs with geometric structure. Floral sprays, scrolling vines, and rosettes are interlaced with lattice grounds, picots and scalloped edges, creating a rhythm of positive and negative space that guides the eye across the fabric.
