DESIGNER'S NOTES
This Fox & Chave silk tie has a design featuring various characters on horseback from the Canterbury tales, including the Merchant, the Friar and the Squire, over a blue ground with passages of text from the work behind.
"The Canterbury Tales," written by Geoffrey Chaucer (c. 1340s – 25 October 1400) is a masterpiece of medieval literature. This collection of stories created in the late 14th century, framed within a pilgrimage to Canterbury, vividly portrays a cross-section of medieval society. Chaucer's keen observations and diverse characters provide a timeless exploration of human nature, humor, and societal critique.
