A fantastic red and gold Fox & Chave silk tie in the style of a traditional textile design from Central Asia known as Suzani.

Suzani is a traditional textile art characterised by vibrant, hand-embroidered patterns, often featuring floral and geometric motifs, created primarily by Uzbek, Tajik, and other regional artisans. Originating from the Persian word Suzan, meaning needle, Suzani began as part of a bride’s dowry and was used to decorate homes and yurts.

Over time, Suzani evolved from being purely functional and domestic to a sought-after decorative art form, reflecting a blend of local customs, Islamic influences, and cross-cultural exchanges along the Silk Road.
