DESIGNER'S NOTES
This classic silver plated pendant features a rearing stallion from the painting Whistlejacket (1762) by the British artist George Stubbs (1724-1806)
Whistlejacket portrays the racehorse against a plain, neutral background. Stubbs combined anatomical precision with dynamic movement, capturing equine musculature and spirit. The work emphasises scale, texture, and light, celebrating both the horse’s power and individuality while embodying eighteenth-century British aristocratic equestrian culture.
STYLING
The pendant is a few centimetres in diameter with a 450mm chain, so style outside high necklines, or against the skin with lower necklines. Wear with jewellery of similar scale, such as a simple silver bracelet.
