A refined Fox & Chave chiffon silk scarf featuring a stylised repeat print of Chrysanthemums in black and old gold.

Chrysanthemums hold deep cultural, historical, and symbolic significance in Japan. Known as kiku (菊) in Japanese, the flowers are revered not only for their beauty but also for their strong association with Japanese identity, tradition, and values.

The chrysanthemum is the official emblem of National identity and of the Japanese Imperial Family. The Chrysanthemum Throne is a term often used to refer to the position of the Emperor of Japan. The Imperial Seal of Japan features a stylised, 16-petal chrysanthemum, symbolising the power and authority of the Emperor.
