This lush green Fox & Chave silk tie features elements from one of a vast series of paintings of Waterlilies painted by the impressionist master Claude Monet, observed in his garden at Giverny a town which sits northwest of Paris along the River Seine in France.
The series comprises a collection of approximately 250 oil paintings that depict the artist's garden, focusing on the water lilies floating on his pond. These works, created during the later years of Monet's life (1914-1926), are characterised by their dreamy, atmospheric quality and the artist's use of colour and light to capture the ever-changing reflections and nuances of the water's surface.
