A Fox & Chave silk tie featuring an element in an alternate blue colourway from the central motif of the Stoclet Frieze by Gustav Klimt (1862-1918).
In the original frieze Klimt depicts a Tree of Life in gold on a pale background as the central image to each of the three separate panels of the installation at the Stoclet Palace in Brussels.
The frieze’s colour palette, rich in golds, deep blues, and vibrant reds, contributes to its opulent and otherworldly atmosphere. This masterpiece epitomises the decorative richness and innovative spirit of the Art Nouveau movement and early 20th-century art and design.
